Showcase FAQ's
What is the cost of the event? $125 for one position, $150 for two positions.
What will I need to wear? We will provide each player with a numbered t-shirt. Each athlete will need to wear black shorts or black pants as well as white softball socks.
What equipment will I need? Each player will need to bring cleats, glove, bat, batting gloves, batting helmet and catchers will need to bring all of their catching equipment.
What will be provided at the showcase? Each player will receive a numbered t-shirt, an adidas event t-shirt and an adidas sack pack upon check-in the day of the showcase event.
What time do I need to meet at the field? You will receive a confirmation letter which will list the scheduled times for each position i.e. outfielders, infielders, catchers, pitchers. This confirmation letter will be sent via email at least one week prior to the scheduled showcase event. Please be sure to check the email address which you submitted when you registered for the event.
What time do I need to meet at the field if I am ONLY pitching? You will receive a confirmation letter which will list the scheduled times for each pitcher and the name of their assigned catcher via email at least one week prior to the scheduled showcase event.
What if I'm bringing my own catcher? If you are bringing your own catcher or you would like to request a registered showcase catcher, you must make a notation on your registration form or notify the staff via email or phone at least one week prior to the scheduled showcase event.
If I am a pitcher am I required to hit? No, if you are a pitcher you are not required to hit. You may attend the showcase and ONLY pitch.
Will I have time to warm up before my scheduled session? Yes. You will need to meet at the field for registration check in and warm-ups at least 1 hour before your scheduled showcase start time.

What college coaches will be attending the showcase? We cannot guarantee or control which college coaches will be in attendance, but we can provide a list of college coaches who attended the showcase following the event. This information will be posted on the web site.
Where is the showcase located? Directions to the field site will be provided to you in a confirmation letter which you will receive prior to the event date. The directions will also be posted on the web site.
Is there an option of a reschedule in the event of a rain out? Rain out reschedule dates are being established for each event and will be posted on the website.
What if I have registered and paid for the showcase, but have decided not to attend? The showcase registration fee is non-refundable.
How do I register for the showcase? You can register online at www.thepitchersmound.net. The registration info can be found by entering the adidas futures link on the web site. Registration will be closed one week prior to the event start date.
Am I eligible to attend the showcase? If you are a high school freshman, sophomore, junior or senior who is not verbally or otherwise committed to a college program, you are eligible.
What is the showcase schedule/itinerary? You will find the showcase itinerary listing the format and drills online at www.thepitchersmound.net.
How do I know if I've been selected for the adidas National Futures Camp in St. George, Utah? There will be 100 players selected to attend the National Futures Camp. Those selected players will be sent an invitation and an information package detailing the national camp..
Will I be able to communicate with the college coaches at the Showcase? You will not be able to communicate with the college coaches at the showcase unless you are a junior in high school and it is on or after July 1. However, we ask that parents and athletes do not approach any college coaches. If they wish to speak with you, they will take it upon themselves to approach you directly.
How do I find out my showcase results for the following topics: base running times, catcher throw down times, and pitcher speed charts? Your results will be posted on the web site following the showcase event. Each player's results will be listed under their t-shirt color (based on their graduation year) and their t-shirt number.
Why is the cost of the showcase $125? The showcase fee of $125 enables the event organizers to cover their costs to run and market the event professionally on a regional and national level while maintaining a ratio that is beneficial to the participant. The showcase events are capped at 125 participants enabling each player the opportunity to be critiqued numerous times not only by college coaches, but also by the adidas Futures National Camp Scouts.
